BOSTON, MA–(Marketwired – April 3, 2014) – Kinvey (www.kinvey.com), the leading Mobile Backend as a Service (MBaaS) platform for enterprises, today announced new comprehensive mobile website development libraries, including a full range of tools JavaScript Frameworks, Backbone.js, Ember.js and Angular.js, as well as improvements to the PhoneGap and Appcelerator Titanium modules. These new capabilities give enterprise customers the flexibility to deliver mobile applications to employees, partners and customers on any device. It also gives them the freedom to use internal or external development teams without limiting the tools and skills needed to build the best application for their company.

Kinvey is the first MBaaS provider to offer such extensive support for JavaScript libraries, which includes enterprise-class features such as data encryption, online/offline caching, data synchronization, user management and network management. Additionally, Kinvey’s MBaaS solution provides out-of-the-box support for user authentication, social media engagement, and enterprise data and business logic integration.

While many enterprises have made significant investments in web development tools and skills, few have experience in mobile app development. Kinvey’s expanded support for JavaScript libraries means enterprise developers can now focus on application design and user experience rather than the complexity of building applications for a specific platform.

“Enterprise developers are looking for the fastest and easiest solution to deliver engaging experiences on mobile devices, tablets and responsive websites,” said Sravish Sridhar, CEO of Kinvey. “Existing solutions such as Mobile Enterprise Application Platforms (MEAP) prevent developers from using a vendor-provided network environment. Instead, our goal is to give enterprises the flexibility and ability to deliver applications using any web development platform or hybrid that meets their needs and skill set.”

“Today, the use of efficient and flexible libraries plays a large role in creating web and hybrid solutions,” said Omar Al-Mishwit, president of OhmzTech, Kinvey’s application development partner. “Today’s enterprise applications must focus on user experience and innovative functionality. Kinvey’s broad portfolio of web libraries and key application features such as data storage and user authentication not only simplifies web development, but also allows us to focus on delivering effective mobile applications for our customers, regardless of platform or framework.”
