Stock Sectors: Stock Update: Mining Stocks Fall as Market Falls

NEW DELHI: Mining stocks closed lower on Monday’s session.

Top gainers included Sandur Manganese & Iron Ores Ltd. (up 3.30%) and Ashapura Minechem Ltd. (up 0.03%).

Lexus Granito(India) Ltd. (down 2.03%), 20 Microns Ltd. (down 2.02%), NMDC Ltd. (down 1.98%), Madhav Marbles & Granites Ltd. (down 1.96%), Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation Ltd. (down 1.63%), The Orissa Minerals Development Company Ltd. (down 1.56%), Coal India Ltd. (down 1.31%), MOIL Ltd. (down 1.11%), Aro Granite Industries Ltd. (down 1.10%) and KIOCL Ltd. (down 0.73%) were among the biggest losers of the day.

The NSE Nifty50 index ended the session down 24.65 points at 22,932.45, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed 19.89 points down at 75,390.5.

Divi’s Laboratories Ltd. (up 3.23%), IndusInd Bank Ltd. (up 1.62%), Axis Bank Ltd. (up 1.11%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd. (up 1.1%), LTIMindtree Ltd. (up 1.09%), Bajaj Finance Ltd. (up 0.86%), Larsen & Toubro Ltd. (up 0.72%), HDFC Bank Ltd . (up 0.7%), Hindalco Industries Ltd. (up 0.69%) and Hindustan Unilever Ltd. (up 0.66%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack. Meanwhile, Adani Enterprises Ltd. (down by 2.84%), Wipro Ltd. (down by 2.42%), Grasim Industries Ltd. (down by 2.07%), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd. (down by 1.98%), SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd. (down 1.82%), Eicher Motors Ltd. (down 1.8%), NTPC Ltd. (down 1.42%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd . (down 1.39%), Coal India Ltd. (down 1.31%) and Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (down 1.19%) ended the session in the red.
