“Robyn is a talented executive who has extensive and relevant experience in planning and acquiring television networks, but, importantly, has a forward-thinking approach and the ability to take established brands with compelling programming into the future, through the use of new platforms and ways of engaging with viewers.” Beck said. “We are thrilled to welcome her to this very important position at AMC Networks.”

DeMarco previously spent more than 20 years at Viacom, most recently as executive vice president of programming strategy and content at MTV. In this role, she was responsible for programming strategy, planning and scheduling of all live, digital and promotional content for MTV, MTV2 and other MTV-branded networks. She also oversaw on-demand acquisitions, media planning, an in-house production studio and an increasing focus on advanced non-linear distribution platforms.

“This company has an incredibly rich history and experience in building strong brands and developing premium content that drives popular culture and creates vibrant fan communities,” DeMarco said. “This unique role gives me the opportunity to lead a team that serves these fans by meeting them where they are, regardless of screen or platform. I’m excited to be here right now.”
