Discount – Morocco AND Australia are emerging global powers in renewable energy and green hydrogen, Australian Ambassador to the Kingdom, Michael Cutts– he said on Thursday Discount.

Speech at a ceremony held in commemoration Australia national holiday ‘Australia Day 2024’ Cutts highlighted the enduring links between the two Australia AND Moroccowhose diplomatic relations are currently celebrating their 47th anniversary.

The Australian diplomat also drew attention to the active cooperation of Moroccan and Australian companies in the framework of ambitious energy transformation and decarbonization goals.

He also emphasized that the Moroccan-Australian partnership for the green economy and the development of a green hydrogen ecosystem “is a strategic choice.”

Highlighting the geostrategic importance the Kingdom gives to African countries, the diplomat welcomed His Majesty the King’s Atlantic Initiative Muhammad VI which aims to promote access to Atlantic Ocean for the Sahel countries.

On her part Leila BenaliMinister of Energy Transformation i Sustainable developmentstated that this day is an opportunity to highlight the excellence of diplomatic, trade and cultural relations between them Morocco AND Australia.

Benali highlighted the excellence of the partnership between Discount AND Canberrawhich continue to develop successfully, underscoring the importance Morocco integration with global energy markets.

“These are partnerships that are part of the common vision and common strategy of both countries aimed at decarbonizing the industry in order to adapt to national strategies,” said the minister.

Australia Day 2024 was attended by over 300 guests, including senior Moroccan officials, leading members of the Australian and Moroccan business community, representatives of civil society and non-governmental organizations, as well as diplomats accredited to Discount.
