Zenless Zone Zero, the upcoming free-to-play urban fantasy action RPG from Genshin Impact developer Hoyoverse, now has a release date. The game will officially launch on all platforms on July 4, 2024.

The official Zenless Zone Zero account announced the development via a post on X (formerly Twitter) and the HoyoLab community, inviting players to enter New Eridu and meet at Sixth Street (an in-game location).

Pre-registration for the game has been going on for a long time. You can pre-register for the mobile version in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. The PC version of the game will be available on the Epic Games Store. PlayStation 5 users can pre-register the title via the PS Store.

Zenless Zero: Everything we know

Hoyoverse has long been teasing its gameplay, plot, characters, weapons, and game mechanics. For now, the gameplay seems to be a mix of action RPG elements with roguelike mechanics. Similarly to Genshin Impact, the combat system focuses on team synergy and allows the recruitment of various characters with unique abilities and weapons.

You can check out the diverse cast by visiting the official Zenless Zone website – zenless.hoyoverse.com/m/en-us/character.

Zenless Zone Zero takes place in a post-apocalyptic, futuristic city called New Eridu, where everyone is threatened by a disaster called “The Void”. You take on the role of a “Proxy” to help humans navigate dangerous alternate dimensions and fight the monstrous “Ethereal” and other enemies.

HoYoverse revealed the game in 2022 and that same year began conducting closed beta tests, called “tuning tests.” The initial test was followed by a second closed beta test, called the “leveling test”, and a third beta test, called the “booster test”, in 2023 and 2024, respectively.
