Ace Turtle appoints Karandeep Singh Jaiya as chief business officer of ET BrandEquity

Ace Turtle, an Indian technology-led retail company, has announced the appointment of Karandeep Singh Jaiya as Chief Business Officer. In his new role, Jaiya will lead the business operations of the brand cluster. His vision and strong leadership skills will drive the growth of Ace Turtle’s fashion and toy portfolio, supporting innovation and enriching the shopping journey of customers across the country. Jaiya has an extraordinary 25 years of experience and extensive knowledge of the retail industry in India and the UAE. He excels in a variety of areas including profit and loss management, purchasing and merchandising, and retail operations. Its proficiency spans a variety of categories and formats, spanning apparel, homeware, beauty, fashion and electronics. Additionally, he has proven skills in creating purchasing and revenue strategies for e-commerce platforms.

Commenting on the appointment, Nitin Chhabra, CEO, Ace Turtle, said: “Our brands are in a strong growth phase and have enormous potential. Prior to joining, Jaiya was the brand head of Jack & Jones at Bestseller India, where he helped expand the brand’s presence in the market. His experience includes key management positions in India and the Middle East. In particular, he managed a $180 million business as business director at Lifestyle, Landmark Group in Dubai, overseeing 180 stores and e-commerce channels across the GCC. At the beginning of his career, he spent 14 years at Shoppers Stop, leading the purchasing and merchandising department. There, he successfully revitalized the denim business and managed a significant revenue portfolio.

A graduate of the esteemed Kozhikode Indian Institute of Management, Undinty joins Mindshare from Reckitt, where he has played a key role in building and scaling a dynamic and sustainable e-commerce business over the past eight years.
