NEW DELHI: Sugar stocks were trading lower at 11:20 am on Tuesday

Avadh Sugar & Energy Ltd. (up 0.86%), Bannari Amman Sugars Ltd. (up 0.55%), Ponni Sugars(Erode) Ltd. (up 0.51%), Magadh Sugar & Energy Ltd . (up 0.37%), Balrampur Chini The best gainers were Mills Ltd. (up 0.16%) and Uttam Sugar Mills Ltd. (up 0.02%).

DCM Shriram Industries Ltd. (down 3.58%), KM Sugar Mills Ltd. (down 1.64%), KCP Sugar & Industries Corporation Ltd. (down 1.42%), Sakthi Sugars Ltd. (down by 1.36%), Simbhaoli Sugars Ltd. (down by 1.28%), Bajaj Hindusthan Sugar Ltd. (down by 1.26%), Rana Sugars Ltd. (down by 0.94%), Triveni Engineering & Industries Ltd. (down 0.91%), Shree Renuka Sugars Ltd. (down 0.85%) and Dhampur The biggest losers were Sugar Mills Ltd. (down 0.77%).

The NSE Nifty50 index rose 40.85 points to 22,973.3, while the 30-share BSE Sensex rose 92.53 points to 75,483.03 at around 11:20 am.

Divi’s Laboratories Ltd. (up 2.84%), HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd. (up 2.21%), Hero MotoCorp Ltd. (up 1.76%), Hindalco Industries Ltd. (up 1, 64%), Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd. (up 1.5%), SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd. (up 1.39%), UltraTech Cement Ltd. (up 0.95%), Hindustan Unilever Ltd. (up 0.85 %), Wipro Ltd. (up 0.79%) and Britannia Industries Ltd. (up 0.78%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack. Meanwhile, Coal India Ltd. (down 0.99%), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (down 0.87%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd. (down 0.82%), NTPC Ltd . (down 0.61%), Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd. (down 0.6%), Tech Mahindra Ltd. (down 0.55%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.
