Lumifi Cyber ​​Acquires Netsurion for MDR, XDR and US SOC

Lumifi Cyber ​​​​Inc. acquired Netsurion, a managed extended detection and response (XDR) provider, for an undisclosed amount.

The move is intended to strengthen Lumifi’s security offerings through its US security operations center and proprietary SHIELDVision platform.

Strategic objectives

Lumifi’s proprietary SHIELDVision platform, built on Gartner Visibility Triad, also known as SOC Visibility Triad, is supported by a team of experts from the U.S. military, Department of Defense and Fortune 500 companies.

“For years, Lumifi has been developing proprietary technology unique to MDR applications, and we look forward to making it available to our newest customers,” said David Norlin, Lumifi’s chief technology officer.

The company’s security operations center is staffed by U.S. analysts, former military personnel and former Department of Defense security experts.

Past acquisitions

This marks Lumifi’s third acquisition since 2022 and second in the last twelve months. Previously, Lumifi acquired Castra in October last year, successfully integrating its customers with Lumifi technology.

With the acquisition of Netsurion, Lumifi gains additional engineers, customer success and sales associates, technical customer service managers and 400 new customers. According to the company, this acquisition also supports Lumifi’s strategic goal of becoming a leader in the MDR space.
