HEB opens an eCommerce fulfillment center in Cibolo


The facility provides greater capacity, greater efficiency and added convenience to better serve digital and stationary customers

HEB has opened a new eCommerce fulfillment center (eFC) in Cibolo – a project that further enhances the retailer’s commitment to integrating innovative technologies that drive omnichannel growth and provide Texans with a more convenient and better shopping experience.

The 55,000-square-foot facility, connected to HEB Cibolo at 850 FM 1103, will serve HEB Curbside and Home Delivery orders throughout Cibolo, New Braunfels and surrounding cities in the San Antonio area. Building on HE-B’s long-standing presence in the area, this move reinforces the retailer’s commitment to serving more customers in this rapidly growing part of the state.

HEB, consistently recognized as a top employer in the country, is actively recruiting to fill a variety of full-time and part-time positions within its Cibolo eCommerce fulfillment center. These positions will work with the company’s most innovative technologies to help fulfill customer orders. The Cibolo facility is expected to employ approximately 200 HEB partners as part of the retailer’s e-commerce team.

To support the growing demand for online shopping, eCommerce fulfillment centers stockpile goods found in stores to meet needs Home and curbside delivery Orders. These facilities provide greater capacity, greater efficiency, less aisle congestion for in-store shoppers and improved product availability. To streamline the process and increase productivity, facilities use various forms of technology to assist Partners throughout the ordering process. Through these centers, H-E-B has expanded supply chain capacity to help improve and accelerate the growth of Curbside and Home Delivery services, which are available in more than 270 Texas stores.

Guided by the Spirit of Giving philosophy, HEB celebrated the facility’s grand opening with a $5,000 donation to the Schertz Cibolo Universal City ISD Education Foundation, which will support training, certification and equipment costs for engineering and robotics students.

The Cibolo facility is HE-B’s eighth eCommerce fulfillment center the company has opened since 2018. HEB will continue to plan to open additional facilities across the state to support the retailer’s expansion throughout Texas.
