GE Healthcare tops the list of FDA-approved AI medical devices

The international healthcare company GE HealthCare has reached the top US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) list of artificial intelligence-enabled medical devices.

GE HealthCare is investing in artificial intelligence and machine learning (ML) to enhance its precision care offering, which integrates multiple technologies including advanced medical imaging, artificial intelligence and molecular diagnostics.

These solutions are used to tailor diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing monitoring and management to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

GE HealthCare also topped the list after the FDA updated it in 2022 and 2023.

The healthcare problems GE HealthCare is tackling with AI-powered technology include data overload, physician burnout and real-time operational efficiencies that enable healthcare professionals to deliver precision care.
