NutraIngredients recognizes the ESSNA Chairman for his lasting impact on the sports nutrition sector

Luca has been Chair of ESSNA since April 2023 and former Vice-Chair of the Alliance since 2017, after joining the Group in 2014. He oversees its ongoing development and advises on its overall direction, priorities and strategy. Luca has played a key role in ESSNA’s work and achievements to date.

The award also recognizes the work done by ESSNA to raise decision-makers’ awareness of sports and active nutrition products, ensure that legislation is fit for purpose and combat non-compliance, ensuring consumer safety and fair competition.

The Nutrainingredients editorial team recognized Luca as a thought leader in the nutrition industry as he has provided significant support to ESSNA to raise the sector’s visibility in the press and help stakeholders better understand sports nutrition, as well as ensuring that representatives across the industry are aware and on the right regulation website.

The judges also recognized Luca’s thought leadership and work supporting the industry’s transition towards sustainability through innovation, development and growth.
