Temburong residents keep informed about government policies

Several agencies recently informed residents of a number of villages in Temburong District about current issues and government policies.

This included cybersecurity threats and how Cyber ​​Security Brunei deals with them; Unified Smart Metering System (USMS) developed by the Department of Electrical Services and DST Network Sdn Bhd; guidelines of the Water Services Department on how to settle outstanding bills for conventional water meters; and procedures for issuing permits and submitting applications for agricultural plots by the Department of Agriculture and Agri-Food Industry.

The briefing was organized by the Information Department as part of the face-to-face program. The meeting was attended by residents of Kampong Selangan, Kampong Parit and Kampong Biang Menengah.

The delegation was led by Senior Information Officer Haji Fathi Foad bin Dato Seri Setia Haji Abu Bakar, who also heads the district office of the Department of Information.

He noted that the Face-to-Face program aims to strengthen two-way communication between the government and citizens, providing information and receiving feedback from the community.

The acting village head of Kampong Selangan, Kampong Parit and Kampong Biang Menengah Dulamit bin Burot expressed their appreciation and gratitude for the opportunity to raise the issues and problems faced by the villagers.

The program ended with a question and answer session on issues raised by village residents, including those related to safety, infrastructure, economy, public facilities and social welfare. – Fadley Faisal
