JFK Airport is the first to have Proto…

Proto, the original patented hologram device and platform that makes holoportation a reality, revealed that its advisor Howie Mandel had beamed himself in to surprise travelers at JFK Terminal 4, operated by JFKIAT.

The America’s Got Talent star recently celebrated the expanded use of Proto in the terminal, including a presentation by Bronx Zoo director Jim Breheny featuring sloths, alligators, pelicans and warthogs in holographic form.

People, animals and objects in Proto units appear in life-size, volumetric 4K resolution.

When a guest goes live, they can interact with travelers in real time.

Mandel previously recorded a hologram explaining the T4 Arts & Culture program in Terminal 4 and the Proto technology, and will now be broadcast live there for the first time.

“I’m excited to travel through JFK Terminal 4 today. My airline of choice is Proto,” Mandel said.

“I love traveling without traveling – send me there!”

Proto’s artificial intelligence capabilities are also being explored to provide a more interactive traveler experience.

“When people first see Proto holograms, something like magic happens,” said David Nussbaum, inventor and CEO of Proto Inc.

“At JFK Terminal 4, the entire world stops and experiences this experience every day. Seeing the best people and places from the New York area showcased on our devices in this amazing space is truly a dream come true.”

Proto was previously used at New York City landmarks such as Lincoln Center, Rockefeller Center, NYU’s Moynihan Station, and at Barclays Center by the Brooklyn Nets.

The Los Angeles-based company is the patented inventor of hologram machines and the secure platform that makes holoportation a reality.
