Infant formula recalled in Texas after products sold that did not comply with FDA regulations for infant formula

Dairy Producers Inc. based in Prosper, Texas, is recalling all U.S. infant formula lot codes: Crecelac Infant 0-12, Farmalac 0-12 and Farmalac 0-12 Low lactose. The products were found to be non-compliant with FDA requirements pursuant to 21 CFR 106.110 Registration of Neonatal Formulations.

Dairy Producer is issuing the recall because the products mentioned were sold in the U.S. in violation of FDA regulations for infant formula. This was found after notification to the FDA because the company failed to provide the required premarket notification. Parents and guardians should understand that the FDA has not evaluated the products to determine whether they meet U.S. food safety and nutritional standards.

The products are labeled as infant formula and packaged in a 12.4-ounce cardboard/aluminum can. The products were sold exclusively in the state of Texas at the retail level.

The recalled products are:

  • Crecelac Infant 0-12, UPC 8 50042 40847 6, expiration date 08/2025; 09/2025
  • Farmalac 0-12, UPC 8 50042 40841 4, expiration date 08/2025; 09/2025
  • Farmalac 0-12 Low lactose, UPC 8 50042 40839 1, expiration date 08/2025; 09/2025

At the time of publication of this recall, no illnesses have been reported.

Consumers who purchased Crecelac Infant 0-12, Farmalac 0-12 and Farmalac 0-12 low lactose products are asked to stop using the recalled products and return them to the place of purchase for a full refund. There are no known reports of injuries or adverse reactions caused by consuming these products. Anyone concerned about an injury or illness should contact their doctor.
