NCUA Approves Regulatory Review – CUInsight

On Thursday, the NCUA board unanimously approved a voluntary rule review. The agency is requesting comment to help identify NCUA provisions that are “outdated, unnecessary, or unduly burdensome on federally insured credit unions.”

The agency noted that the law does not require a review because the law applies to federal banking regulators, but added that it is “consistent with the spirit of the law.”
