GumGum appoints Niall Hogan as CEO of JAPAC

GumGum, the leading global context-aware digital advertising platform, recently announced the appointment of Niall Hogan as CEO for the JAPAC region, covering Japan, Australia and Asia Pacific. Hogan’s new role, effective immediately, marks a strategic move by GumGum to strengthen its presence and operations in these key markets.

In his new position, Hogan will oversee sales, customer success and operational execution of GumGum’s media advertising business in Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and other emerging markets in the JAPAC region. He will lead a team of over 100 specialists whose main goal will be to increase revenues while maintaining GumGum’s status as a leading provider of contextual, creative and attention-focused advertising solutions.

Hogan’s primary mission is to navigate the ever-changing digital landscape and address growing privacy and government regulatory issues. Its goal is to position GumGum’s Mindset platform as the leading contextual, creative and attention-focused media buying solution. By working closely with regional leaders in Japan, Australia and Southeast Asia, Hogan plans to strengthen GumGum’s position as the premier contextual media partner for advertisers and agencies.

“I am excited to join GumGum and lead JAPAC’s operations at such a pivotal time in the digital advertising landscape,” Hogan noted. “As the industry continues to evolve, my goal is to ensure GumGum is the best choice for advertisers and agencies navigating this dynamic terrain. Leveraging the power of GumGum’s innovative Mindset Platform, we are committed to delivering unrivaled results and insights. Together with our talented team, our goal is to shape the future of context-aware advertising, where relevance and engagement coexist with consumer privacy and trust.

Hogan brings a wealth of experience to his new role at GumGum. He successfully launched and scaled four separate media and technology companies on two continents. Notably, Hogan was Integral Ad Science’s (IAS) first hire from outside the United States, where he spearheaded the launch and expansion of its operations in the UK and Southeast Asia. Most recently, he was Ogury’s first APAC employee, establishing the company as the region’s leading privacy-first solutions provider.

Sorrel Osborne, APAC media director at GumGum, expressed enthusiasm about Hogan joining the team. “We are thrilled to welcome Niall to the GumGum family. With his extensive experience and proven track record of leading successful ventures in various markets, we are confident that Niall will play a key role in leading our expansion efforts in the rapidly growing Asia-Pacific region. His strategic vision and leadership will undoubtedly strengthen our position as the leading context measurement platform and attention, providing exceptional value to both our customers and partners.
