Department of Labor Invests in Supporting Quality Jobs in Critical Care Sectors – Presidential Prayer Team

The funding focuses on training for people working in care industry roles.

The U.S. Department of Labor announced $12 million in additional funding aimed at improving job quality and increasing access to jobs in essential industries. The investment will focus on training for roles in the care economy, such as caring for older people and children.

The distribution of the second round of job quality grants in critical sectors aims to meet the need for workers in these industries. These positions have traditionally offered lower pay, limited benefits, inadequate worker protections, and greater job instability.

said acting Labor Secretary Julie Su. “Good jobs change lives and these grants will help do just that… This additional round of funding for our Job Quality Grants in Critical Sectors will help improve the quality of jobs in the high-demand industries that will continue to fuel our historic growth economic”.

The Critical Sector Job Quality Grant Program, administered by the Employment and Training Administration (ETA), works in partnership with industry and labor representatives to support job quality and promote positive outcomes.

As the Lord leads, pray with us…

  • For Acting Secretary Su to oversee the Department of Labor, she would seek God’s guidance.
  • For U.S. labor officials as they support increased training and benefits in the care industry.
