Newegg launches membership program for customers

Online e-commerce retailer Newegg has launched Newegg+, a free customer membership program offering free shipping, first access to new products and exclusive offers

According to the press release, to join Newegg+, customers must first create or log in to their free Newegg account and then choose to sign up for Newegg+.

“Joining most retail membership clubs requires a significant financial commitment that really detracts from the excitement of joining the program and the potential savings,” Kidd Liu, senior director of business systems development at Newegg, said in the release. “Newegg+ is designed to help customers shop more easily on Newegg from day one and provide exclusive free benefits. Because Newegg+ is free and the benefits are immeasurable, every customer should be compelled to join.”
