United we are stronger. A sports cooperation agreement was signed between the youth sectors of Derthona Basket and Virtus Siena

Virtus Siena to me Derthony basketball together for youth basketball. The Rossoblu and Juventus clubs have signed an agreement cooperation agreement regarding youth sector. For the Tuscan club, this is an important agreement with one of the top-class players on the national stage in the youth basketball category, as evidenced by the final of the Under 19 Excellence championship won by the Piedmont club.

It is a cooperation based on youth teams and Virtus plays an important role in finding young talents, mainly in central Italy. In this way, Derthona Basket becomes the main interlocutor of the Piazzetta Don Perucatti club regarding the release of the boys to one of the best youth sectors in the country in a club that invests heavily in its own academy in terms of structures and human resources and becomes one point of reference in Italy for youth basketball, as well as achieving excellent results at senior level, once again participating in the Serie A championship play-offs. The agreement also provides for an exchange of professionalism between both clubs, including various meetings throughout the year, during which staff and players will meet in Siena and Tortona.

It is a relationship that began with a situation regarding Andrea Bresciani, a boy born and raised in our youth industry, who went to Tortona to continue his journey at the highest levels of Italian youth basketball. From there, we decided to sign a cooperation agreement, which we are happy to announce. We thank all parties involved, especially Director Ablatico who was immediately very helpful and cooperative in all aspects, and we hope that this will be another step forward for us both in terms of recruiting young talent from our area but also giving to all the deserving kids starting point for a club that currently represents one of the best Italian realities, both at senior and youth level“.

The same applies to the partnership with Juventus Andrzej Ablatico: : “Of course I am very happy to intensify my relationship with Virtus Siena. The basis of this cooperation was the great relationship with Voltolini. Due to the U13 tournament organized by Virtus, in which we will take part with the team trained by Andrea Fanaletti, next weekend we will be physically in Tuscany to formalize the relationship, of which we already had good proof from last season with the journey of Andrea Bresciani in our youth sector. I am sure that this cooperation will be a sign of great satisfaction, considering that getting closer to Tuscany, the land of basketball, has been our goal for some time.”
