The UAE Cabinet has announced holidays for 2025 for both the public and private sectors. As per the resolution passed by the government, both the public and private sectors will be given a holiday on January 1, 2025. The Islamic New Year, Muharram 1, will also be observed as a holiday. However, the exact date in the Gregorian calendar has not yet been determined. In addition, an extended weekend from Shawaal 1-3 to celebrate Eid Al-Fitr and if Ramadan lasts 30 days, there will be an additional day off.

The UAE will have a day off on Dhu Al Hijjah 9 to mark Arafat Day. Then, from 10 to 12 Dhu Al Hijjah, there will be three days off to celebrate Eid Al-Adha. The resolution included the address Rabi Al Awwal 12, which commemorates the birthday of the Prophet Muhammad. To commemorate Remembrance Day and the 54th UAE National Day, December 2 and 3, respectively, will be designated as holidays.
