VFX Company Jellyfish Pictures Launches New Leadership Team, Hires Technicolor and MPC Executives

EXCLUSIVE: Visual effects and animation company Jellyfish has announced a large-scale restructuring of its leadership team with the appointment of new key executives.

The new hires include David Patton, former global president of brand experience and advertising at Technicolor Creative Studios, who has joined Jellyfish Pictures as CEO. At Technicolor, Patton headed The Mill and MPC Advertising. In this newly created CEO position, he will work closely with Jellyfish Pictures founder Phil Dobree to lead the long-term growth of the entire company. Their goal will be to expand the studio’s product offering, increase operational efficiency, expand into new markets and nurture the company’s creative talents.

Former Technicolor global chief talent officer Mark Warburg also joined Jellyfish as chief operating officer. In this role, Warburg will be responsible for all aspects of operational and talent excellence, ensuring Jellyfish Pictures continues to provide technology and production platforms to meet the demands of film and animation studios around the world.

Long-term hires include Phil Greenlow, former global managing director of film at MPC, who joins Jellyfish as managing director of visual effects for film and episodic content. He will work on a variety of content ranging from major feature films to the ever-expanding high-end television market.

Natalie Llewellyn expands her role as Managing Director of Jellyfish Pictures’ Animation & Originals, overseeing all of the Animation studio’s production and driving business development, client relationships and partnership initiatives.

MPC’s former global chief talent officer, Sharn Gondal, has been appointed chief human resources officer at Jellyfish Pictures, responsible for developing and expanding Jellyfish Pictures’ talent base.

In a statement, the company said current CFO Michelle David and director of visual effects and animation Luke Dodd will support the leadership team and work closely with new CEO David Patton to realize the company’s ambitions and manage sustainable growth.
