iThink launches the weight discrepancy management panel

iThink Logistics, a Mumbai-based integrated logistics and supply chain solutions provider, has announced the launch of an innovative weight variance management dashboard.

The dashboard is designed to help e-commerce sellers easily manage and eliminate weight discrepancies, thereby increasing the operational efficiency of e-commerce sellers, an official release said.

“Weight discrepancy has long been a significant problem for e-commerce sellers, causing a number of operational and financial challenges. This problem occurs when there is a discrepancy between the package weight recorded by the e-commerce seller and the weight measured by the logistics partner during the shipping process. Such discrepancies can result from inaccurate weights, human error or packaging tampering and can lead to financial losses for sellers in the form of overcharges for shipping costs, impacting profit margins and potentially resulting in penalties.

The iThink solution integrates seamlessly with existing e-commerce platforms and logistics systems, eliminating the need for extensive modifications, the release added. “This provides sellers with a user-friendly experience without disrupting their existing workflows. Easy data synchronization between sellers and logistics partners ensures accurate weight measurements, promotes clear communication and reduces the risk of billing disputes.”

Zaiba Sarang, co-founder of iThink Logistics says: “iThink Logistics has always strived to completely improve the functioning of the logistics ecosystem by focusing on the most common problems that cause inconvenience. The Weight Discrepancy Management Dashboard is our latest attempt to solve a significant inconvenience problem faced by many logistics companies and e-commerce sellers. We believe this dashboard will significantly improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

iThink Logistics, an end-to-end SaaS shipping platform for D2C brands with over 26,000 PINs across India and 180 countries, reported revenues of Rs 104 crore in 2023-24.
