NEW DELHI: FMCG stocks closed lower on Thursday’s session.

Emami Ltd. (up 16.80%), Heritage Foods Ltd. (up 9.57%), Dodla Dairy Ltd. (up 1.38%), Gillette India Ltd. (up 0.99%) , Varun Beverages Ltd. (up 0.60%), Euro The best-gaining companies included India Fresh Foods Ltd. (up 0.57%), JHS Svendgaard Laboratories Ltd. (up 0.53%), Jyothy Labs Ltd. (up 0.31%) and Adani Wilmar Ltd. (up 0.03%).

Nakoda Group Of Industries Ltd. (down 6.18%), Zydus Wellness Ltd. (down 3.85%), LT Foods Ltd. (down 3.36%), ADF Foods Ltd. (down 3, 16%), Tasty Bite Eatables Ltd. (down 3.11%), Nestle India Ltd. (down 2.89%), Hatsun Agro Products Ltd. (down 2.27%), Parag Milk Foods Ltd. (down 2.08%), Godrej Consumer Products Ltd. (down 1.98%) and Colgate-Palmolive (down 1.98%) India) Ltd. (down 1.65%) were found among the biggest losers of the day.

The NSE Nifty50 index ended the session down 216.05 points at 22,488.65, while the 30-share BSE Sensex ended down 617.3 points at 73,885.6.

ICICI Bank Ltd. (up 1.07%), Axis Bank Ltd. (up 0.71%), HDFC Bank Ltd. (up 0.44%), State Bank of India (up 0.39%) ), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd. (up 0.14%) and Bharti Airtel Ltd. (up 0.01%) were among the top gainers on the Nifty. In turn, Tata Steel Ltd. (down 5.8%), Tech Mahindra Ltd. (down 3.55%), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (down 3.47%), Titan Company Ltd. (down by 3.22%), Wipro Ltd. (down by 3.08%), Shriram Finance Ltd. (down by 3.03%), Bajaj Finserv Ltd. (down by 2.92%), Nestle India Ltd. (down 2.89%), Bajaj Finance Ltd. (down 2.8%) and Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd. (down 2.33%) ended the session in the red.
