To prevent corruption in top management positions, stricter regulations are needed

The Group of States against Corruption (GRECO) of the Council of Europe has called on governments to adopt stricter laws to prevent corruption and promote integrity in top executive positions in central governments.

In a statement, the Council of Europe revealed specific concerns regarding lobbying and third-party contacts and called for intensified efforts to fully and promptly implement all GRECO recommendations.
