REAoL participates in a sustainable energy planning workshop in Tunisia

The Libyan Renewable Energy Authority (REAoL) announced yesterday that it participated in and co-organized a workshop titled Sustainable Energy Planning in Tunisia, under the project banner “Sustainable Energy and Climate Change Adaptation in Libya” (SECCAR). The event is co-organized by the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ).

According to REAoL, the workshops covered many topics and projects as well as the transformation and orientation of the world towards renewable energies and their importance and development, including the following topics:

• Information on Tunisia’s energy transition, regulatory framework and licensing systems.

•Presentation of the SECCAR project.

‎ • Support offer proposed by the German Agency for International Cooperation for Energy Efficiency (GLZ).‎

• Prioritizing energy efficiency measures. ‎

REAoL, in turn, provided participants with a full explanation of Libya’s National Strategy for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency and REAoL’s plans and programs aimed at implementing this strategy, especially as the world is now taking steps and launching projects to be implemented in tangible reality. ‎
