The law firm advises vintage car dealers on their latest acquisition

The corporate team from West Midlands law firm Wilkes has advised Sports Purpose on its acquisition of historic racing specialist Sporting & Historic Car Engineers.

Sports Purpose received guidance from Jeremy Parkin, consultant at Wilkes Corporate, with support from Matt Workman, paralegal, and Leighann Richards from the Wilkes real estate team.

The acquisition will enable Sports Purpose to expand its expertise in the historic racing car segment, complementing its existing business serving the specialist Porsche market.

Founded in 1989 by Tim Samways, Sporting & Historic Car Engineers has a proud track record including Ferrari’s first victory in the esteemed Goodwood Revival RAC Tourist Trophy in 2007.

Although Tim Samways is retiring, he will continue to serve as a consulting engineer for the company, contributing to the projects he has initiated over the years.

James Turner, founder of Sports Purpose, said: “I have known Jeremy Parkin since we first worked together over a decade ago. He was an invaluable advisor as we developed Sports Purpose. Although his legal counsel is excellent, I consider Jeremy a trusted consigliere, providing reliable knowledge and guidance on corporate matters. It is a pleasure working with Jeremy and his team at Wilkes.”
