UK Finance makes board appointments – Mortgage Strategy

UK Finance has appointed Vanquis Banking Group CEO Ian McLaughlin and PayPal UK CEO Simon Bladon to its board.

McLaughlin previously served as Bank of Ireland’s UK chief executive. He has experience in consumer finance, communication finance, savings, small and medium-sized enterprise finance and mortgage lending.

He also worked at NatWest as Managing Director of Home Buying and Ownership.

McLaughlin will join on July 1.

Bladon was a former Barclays managing director with over 20 years of leadership experience in strategy, legal, transformation and operations across corporate, consumer and payments banking.

He will join the management board on May 2.
