The Delhi government is implementing stringent water conservation policies in view of the growing crisis

Delhi Water Crisis: As temperatures rise, residents of Delhi rely heavily on air conditioning and water coolers, resulting in high demand for energy and water in the city. To reduce the demand for water by reducing water wastage, the Delhi government is introducing stringent rules.

Rs 2,000 fine for wasting water

In the new regulations, AAP Minister Atishi highlighted the acute water shortage in Delhi due to lack of city water supply from Haryana, forcing the authorities to impose a fine of Rs. 2000 regarding people found to be wasting water. Anyone caught using water pipes to wash vehicles or wasting water in other ways will face fines.
