Latest update of transfer policy of Punjab government school teachers

LAHORE – The Punjab government has introduced a new transfer policy for school teachers across the province, allowing transfers throughout the year due to hardship.

Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat has approved a new policy that allows disabled, widowed, divorced and long-distance teachers to apply for transfer at any time throughout the year.

This move will also provide relief to many government teachers who have to shift to other areas due to marriage.

Under the new policy, government teachers can avail general transfers twice a year and reciprocal transfers twice a year.

The Punjab School Education Department has said that all types of promotions will be completed within 30 days.

He directed all district committees to ensure decisions are taken on the applications within 30 days.
