E-commerce, BFSI and hospitality drive job growth in 2024 with 31% increase in employer demand: apna

Apna has seen an increase in demand for specialists in sectors such as BFSI, e-commerce and services and hospitality. The company’s latest data analysis reveals significant growth of 21%, 17% and 13% across industries, as demand for specialists in sales and business development, brand and marketing and customer service increases.

This growth is driven by industry giants such as Bajaj Finserv, Lenskart, HDFC Insurance, Aditya Birla, etc. The increased demand in these sectors indicates a strengthening economy and growing opportunities for professionals in various industries in 2024.

The job market in the southern part of India has shown remarkable growth of 23% compared to 18% last year, with cities such as Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Chennai leading the way in terms of total job openings. The surge in demand for sales and marketing, brand and design, and front-end professionals reflects this upward trend, pointing to the region’s robust job economy.



Additionally, digitalization is becoming more prominent in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, with cities like Lucknow, Coimbatore and Gwalior seeing an increase in job opportunities. These cities, along with Jaipur and Surat, exemplify a growing job economy, driven by both enterprises and small and medium enterprises, pointing to promising prospects for job seekers across India.
