CANAAN, Maine (WABI) – A Canaan farm helped raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Maine on October 12.

The Ring Family Farm opened its doors for its 15th annual Fall Family Fay in support of Make-A-Wish Maine.

For a $20 donation at the door, guests were treated to live music, a free barbecue lunch and more.

If visitors wanted to contribute more, they could buy pastries, flower pots or enter the draw.

The event not only serves to raise money to make a wish, but also to bring the community together.

Local artisans and craftspeople take this opportunity to show off their skills and sell their products while supporting a good cause.

“It takes a whole community to make this work. A lot of people give me credit for it, but without the community it wouldn’t work. We couldn’t do it. You know, when I started doing this, my dream was to raise ten thousand dollars…and that was a hundred and seventy thousand dollars ago,” said Danny Ring, one of the owners of Ring Family Farm.
