This new Android feature will not be available on Samsung phones and tablets

The new Android feature is now available, with new features coming to Android devices later this year. However, the Instant Hotspot feature, which allows users to connect compatible Android devices and Chromebooks to easily connect to their phone’s hotspot, will not be available on Samsung devices.

Google has confirmed that the new Instant Hotspot feature will not be available on Samsung smartphones and tablets.

The reason for this is not yet clear. Considering the feature is available via Google Play Services, it’s surprising that it won’t be coming to Samsing devices. We assume that Samsung may have dropped this feature to encourage users to purchase their own devices to complete the ecosystem.

What is Instant Hotsport and how does it work?
Instant Hotspot is a fast hotspot feature that allows you to instantly connect to Android tablets and Chromebooks with just one tap. This reduces the need to manually configure the hotspot feature and turn it on every time you want to use it.

The whole process is quite tedious as it requires taking out your phone, going to the hotspot settings and turning it on. Then go to your device, go to Wi-Fi, find Wi-Fi, enter the password and then you will be connected.

Instant Hotspot eliminates all these steps by offering users a direct connection to their phone’s hotspot with just one click on the device. Please note that this feature works on tablets and Chromebooks connected to the same Google account.

Why Samsung users shouldn’t worry
Samsung has a certain way of doing things when it comes to smartphones and other devices. The company already has an alternative that is limited to its own devices. For example, users can connect to a hotspot with one click on Samsung tablets and laptops. However, they will not be able to connect to the hotspot on non-Samsung devices.

However, ChromeOS has an Instant Tethering feature that allows Samsung users to connect their Chromebook instantly. Additionally, the Phone Link app on Windows PC also provides a similar feature.
