The BJP attributes India’s positive outlook according to S&P Global to the NDA government’s economic policies

The Bharatiya Janata Party attributes the revision in India’s outlook by S&P Global Ratings to the Narendra Modi government’s policy interventions and steps taken to strengthen the economy. The rating agency has revised India’s outlook from “stable” to “positive”. At a press conference in New Delhi, party spokesman Syed Zafar Islam said the BJP-led government has taken several initiatives over the last ten years to boost the economy and carry out structural reforms. He said that the ease of doing business has improved under the Modi government. Islam alleged that during the previous UPA government, the economy was facing political paralysis and was in a difficult economic situation for five years. He added that thanks to effective policy interventions during the Covid pandemic and the Ukraine-Russian conflict, the prospects of the Indian economy reflect positive growth.
