Apple is facing numerous antitrust class action lawsuits after being sued by the Department of Justice

Just two months after being targeted by the Justice Department, Apple received a new antitrust lawsuit in the Northern District of California and lost a motion to block the antitrust class action lawsuit in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.

The plaintiffs, represented by Keller Rohrback, filed a new class action lawsuit, Kouyate v. Apple, on May 23. The lawsuit alleges that Apple violated Sections 1 and 3 of the Sherman Antitrust Act (15 U.S.C. §§1, 3) and seeks damages and injunctive relief on behalf of all U.S. residents who purchased a smartphone from Apple with no intent to resell.
