Octopia launches retail media solution

French market solutions provider Octopia has launched a new product called Octopia Ads. It is the company’s own retail media solution. It enables retailers to implement a sponsored search solution for their products (1P) and sellers’ and brands’ products (3P).

Octopia is a solution for e-commerce companies that want to launch a new market, improve an existing one, sell to multiple markets or outsource logistics. According to the company, it generates 50 percent of its business internationally. It has over 30 clients in 11 different countries.

The company offers access to a qualified catalog of 15,000 products. sellers and 80 million products and order fulfillment solutions. In 2023, Octopia expanded to the UK. Thanks to the new warehouse and office in Great Britain, the company signed a contract with the first customer of the Onbuy marketplace.

Sponsored products on trading platforms

Last month, IAB Europe published a set of measurement standards for retail media in Europe. Retail media is still a relatively new phenomenon. Includes advertising space for retailers. Marketplaces such as Amazon and French e-commerce leader Cdiscount often sell advertising space in product search results.

Sellers can set their own budgets with target CPC (cost per click) bids and target ROAS (return on ad spend). The solution can be integrated with marketplaces.
