The latest Movers and Shakers roundup includes temporary appointments at Surrey and Borders Partnership, Ashford and St Peter’s Hospitals and East London NHS Foundation Trusts.

Jim Austin has been appointed interim chief executive of Derbyshire Community Health Services NHS Trust from September 2024 to April 2026. Austin is currently chief information officer at Derby and Derbyshire Integrated Care Board, but will leave this role for a new interim position.

Doctor Annette Doherty has been announced as the new chairman of Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust. Took over from David Hightonwho ended his term at the end of April 2024, after seven years as chairman.

The Surre and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust has been appointed Ian MacKenzie as interim CIO in May 2024.

After 10 months as Digital Director at University Hospitals Derby and Burton NHS Foundation, Jonah Aburrow-Jones will begin her new role as EPR Program Director at Doncaster and Bassetlaw NHS Foundation Trust from early July 2024.

Jonathan Develing joined Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust as Director of Strategy and Partnerships at the end of April 2024. He was previously Director of Strategic Partnerships at Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

Kate Fisher joined Ashford and St Peter’s Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust as interim chief executive in May 2024. Fisher is an experienced chief executive with 20 years’ experience at board level in the NHS, charity and private sectors.

In June last year Lorraine Sunduza became interim chief executive of East London NHS Foundation Trust. The trust confirmed her permanent role as chief executive in May 2024.

Chief Executive of Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust Paul Robinson announced that he will be taking sick leave from May 16, 2024. The trust’s medical director and deputy chief executive, Dr. David Selwynhe will act as general director during this time.

Tom Abelchief executive of East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust, after three years he will leave his position in July 2024 to lead the Mid and South Essex Integrated Care Board as chief executive.

Jason Bradley joined the Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in May 2024 as Director of Digital and Data.
