Organizers KAOUN International and strategic partner MODON have announced the launch of the new annual industrial event World Advanced Manufacturing & Logistics Summit & Expo (WAM), which will be held at Fairmont Riyadh on November 11-12, 2024.

The World Advanced Manufacturing & Logistics Summit & Expo (WAM) is a pioneering global industrial event that will bring together key Saudi Arabian stakeholders to support the Kingdom’s industrial 4.0 transformation, with leaders from all key manufacturing segments. Showcasing advanced technologies revolutionizing manufacturing and logistics, along with enormous opportunities and incentives in Saudi Arabia, the World Advanced Manufacturing & Logistics Summit & Expo (WAM) looks poised to elevate the competitiveness of Saudi industrial production and position the Kingdom as a leading global manufacturer and logistics hub.

The World Advanced Manufacturing & Logistics Summit & Expo (WAM) is organized by KAOUN International, the organizer of SaudiFood Manufacturing, the first dedicated food and beverage production event in Saudi Arabia, and Saudi Food Show, the largest global F&B sourcing event in the Kingdom. The event launches as part of a strategic partnership with MODON, the Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones.

“The launch of the Global Advanced Manufacturing and Logistics (WAM) Summit and Expo will bring together strategic plans and efforts across all industry sectors to support greater public-private partnerships for investment, knowledge exchange and implementation of new technologies and operating models, adopting the world’s best workforce training and practice for continuous human capital development and collaboration with stakeholders in international advanced and emerging manufacturing centers,” said Trixie LohMirmand, CEO of KAOUN International.

“This will create important building blocks for manufacturing excellence that will build a sustainable and efficient modern manufacturing center in Saudi Arabia, attracting capital investment and the development of new manufacturing sectors and positioning the Kingdom’s manufacturing leadership globally,” LohMirmand continued.

The increasing integration of artificial intelligence and breakthrough technologies optimizes production processes, improves productivity and cost efficiency. Technological advances will redefine traditional job roles and create new opportunities. To thrive in this dynamic landscape, organizations must foster a culture of learning and agility. World Advanced Manufacturing & Logistics Summit & Expo (WAM) and MODON are committed to the continuous development and improvement of human capital.

Under the leadership of the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources and MODON, the Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones, Saudi Arabia is emerging as a competitive and flexible manufacturing hub. Saudi Arabia has created a number of cities and industrial zones, introduced incentives and initiatives to attract foreign direct investment (FDI) in the manufacturing sector, and built partnerships with international companies and organizations to transfer technology, knowledge and best practices in manufacturing.

Covering all manufacturing sectors, the World Advanced Manufacturing & Logistics Summit & Expo (WAM) will focus on sub-sectors for accelerated expansion, including waste management, vehicle technology, healthcare, biotechnology and pharmaceuticals, chemicals, IT and telecommunications, energy, construction and logistics.
