Walmart’s online delivery service, which delivers food directly to customers’ homes, is available to 10 million additional households across the U.S.

The discount store does its job At home a service that delivers fresh groceries, daily essentials and other products directly to customers’ homes, including placing items directly in the kitchen or garage refrigerator, available in select metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota and Pennsylvania (see the list below).

InHome’s total scale currently spans over 50 markets with over 45 million homes.

How it’s working

To place an order for home delivery, customers shop in-store Walmart on an e-commerce website or app for products eligible for store delivery and select your home delivery window. A trained and proven InHome associate delivers to the customer’s preferred location.

If it involves the interior of a home, the associate will use a one-time passcode to open the customer’s door or garage. A wearable camera that sits on associates’ vest records the entire delivery, which customers can access from their phones for up to a week after each delivery.

InHome is available as addition to your Walmart+ membership for the program $12.95 per month or $98 per year. Customers who are already Walmart+ members can now add unlimited, free, tip-free home delivery for an additional $7 per month or $40 per year.
