Vingroup and Mitsubishi Corporation are establishing strategic cooperation, one of them is the automotive sector

JAKARTA – Vingroup and Mitsubishi Corporation have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on comprehensive strategic cooperation that focuses on five main areas, including the automotive industry.

Specifically for the automotive industry, Mitsubishi Corporation will explore the possibility of providing full sales services for VinFast in the international market, thereby increasing VinFast’s competitiveness in electric car brands.

Drawing on their extensive experience in Japan, Vietnam and the global market, the cooperation between Mitsubishi Corporation and Vingroup through the formation of a working group will soon enable the achievement of the objectives of the MoU. The aim of this partnership is to bring products and services of international standard to the market, contributing to sustainable development.

“Mitsubishi Corporation is actively pursuing various business ventures with the mission of improving the quality of life of Vietnamese people,” Mitsubishi Corporation’s general manager of urban development and infrastructure, Takuya Kuga, said in an official statement on Friday, May 31.

Apart from the automotive sector, both sides are also focusing on data center businesses. The two parties will conduct a feasibility study to establish a joint venture for data center operations in Vietnam. This initiative aims to provide Vietnamese citizens with digital critical infrastructure, contributing to the digital and social transformation of development Vietnam.

In the field of renewable energy, both sides will conduct a feasibility study on implementing a wind power project in Vietnam. These projects aim to provide clean and reliable energy to urban development projects developed by Vinhomes.

Meanwhile, regarding petroleum recycling, Mitsubishi Corporation will set up a working group to collect used cooking oil from Vinhomes and Vinpearl projects and convert it into biofuels to protect the environment. In addition, they will promote social activities aimed at developing an ecological lifestyle in urban areas.

“With the establishment of a comprehensive strategic partnership between Vingroup and Mitsubishi Corporation, I am confident that these two groups will embark on a growth path and achieve significant growth in the coming years,” he concluded.
