Gina McCarthy details Trump’s climate plan 2.0

Gina McCarthy is worried about “a lot of things” if former President Donald Trump returns to the White House next year, but she doesn’t think another Trump victory would spell doom for renewable energy.

McCarthy, who served as President Joe Biden’s top climate adviser in the White House, is currently co-chair of the America Is All In climate initiative launched by former New York Mayor Mike Bloomberg.

This spring and summer, McCarthy is traveling the country to encourage the public to take advantage of the financial incentives provided in a climate law known as the Inflation Control Act.

Earlier this month, she stopped in Seattle, where she joined Washington Gov. Jay Inslee – another co-chair of the America Is All In initiative – to tout how the climate law and other state and federal legislation support renewable energy efforts in the state.
