The Chosen reveals season four premiere schedule

New episodes of this hit show about the life of Christ will be broadcast free of charge two days a week throughout the month on The Chosen app.

Fans Choice we have reason to celebrate because the showrunners have finally announced when season 4 will be available to stream. The fourth season of the hit series about the life of Jesus Christ according to the Gospel, broadcast in cinemas during Lent, but a dispute between The Chosen LLC (the production company) and Angel Studios (the distribution company) delayed its release on streaming services for over a month.

Release schedule

Dallas Jenkins – who writes, directs and produces Choiceall while somehow finding time to serve as the LLC’s CEO and continually promote the show via livestream – announced the streaming premiere and explained the situation in an emotional video ChoiceYouTube channel.

Season 4 Choice will be officially available for streaming Sunday, June 2, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. Eastern Time (ET).

He then discussed several changes to their streaming services, the most significant of which is that you will no longer be able to stream on the Angel Studios app. In the initial release, Season 4 will only be available to watch on The Chosen app, which will continue to be free to use.

Additionally, there will be an option to purchase the full Season 4 DVD set On The chosen ones a souvenir shop for those who don’t want to wait for new releases from week to week.

Throughout June this year. Choice will air two episodes per week: the first on Sundays at 7 p.m. ET and the second on Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET. The eight episodes of Season 4 should be available for free by the end of June.

Jenkins firmly promised that once the episode is released, it will be available for free streaming at all times, although it may not be free “at first”; for example, any future theatrical release would require a ticket purchase.

While Jenkins mentioned that the season will eventually come to streaming services like Apple TV, Google TV, Fire TV, Roku, and TheChosen.tv – streaming services that already offer previous seasons – he noted that it was important for the program’s revenue that it be confined to The Chosen app from the start.

Why the delay?

Revenue, Dallas explained, was one of the main reasons The chosen ones a break from Angel Studios. It was clear from the beginning of the announcement that the end of this deal was good ChoiceJenkins never intended for this to happen.

He explained that the arrangement was not sustainable because Choice is responsible for financing the entire program, but only about 40% of the funds raised by Angel Studios actually reached the program. This is the shortened version – it took Jenkins almost 10 minutes to explain the full, complex story – but the end of this deal means that now 100% of any funds will be transferred Choice will be directed to the performance.

He clarified the misconception that The Chosen LLC and Angel Studios were involved in the lawsuit, noting that they had requested third-party arbitration, which was their right under the contract. The arbitrators reviewed the situation and found that Angel Studios had breached the contract “in multiple and material ways.”

Still, it was heartbreaking when Dallas announced the news. After stating, “The Chosen’s relationship with Angel Studios has effectively come to an end,” the man had to pause as he was clearly distressed. He had to swallow his emotions and looked away, his eyes becoming glassy. Dallas looked like he never expected to say something like that.

With despair on my face, the showrunner noted that “we don’t get any enjoyment out of it.” before reiterating the immeasurable role that Angel Studios and the Harmon Brothers (founders of Angel Studios) played in the acquisition Choice from Earth. “We have concluded that we simply have no choice in the future of our company and this program, which is what the law has agreed to do.”

To watch Choice Season 4 on The Chosen app for free on Sunday, June 2, 2024. Tune in every Thursday night at 8 p.m. ET and Sunday at 7 p.m. ET to catch all 8 episodes as they premiere in June.
