Windows 11 Insider Dev Channel build 26120.751 (KB5037874) adds Copilot taskbar pinning

Microsoft has released the latest Windows 11 update to Insider members in the Developer Channel. The build number is 26120.751 under KB5037874. This update includes some of the same features that were introduced in Canary Channel’s Thursday update, including the ability to pin the Copilot app to the taskbar.

Here is the changelog:

Changes and improvements are gradually rolled out to the developer channel when you enable this option

(General)

This update includes a small set of general improvements and fixes that improve the overall experience for Insiders using this build on their machines.

As part of this update, we’re also expanding Copilot on Windows as a pinned app to the taskbar. This allows users to enjoy the benefits of the traditional app, including the ability to resize, move and snap the window – feedback we heard from users while using the Copilot preview on Windows. This model also allows Microsoft to be more flexible in developing and optimizing the experience based on user feedback.

As part of the evolution of Copilot in Windows towards a pinned app to the taskbar, we are retiring the WIN + C keyboard shortcut. For new devices that ship with a Copilot key, this key will open Copilot. For existing devices without this key, using WIN+ (the position of the Copilot number pinned to the taskbar) is a great way to open Copilot.

(Settings)

We’re starting to roll out a new Connected Devices page in Settings > Accounts that lets you manage the PCs and Xbox consoles you’re signed in to with your Microsoft account. This settings page will only be visible on Home and Pro editions of Windows 11 and when you sign in to Windows with a Microsoft account.

(Widgets)

  • Fixed an issue that caused the WIN + W keyboard shortcut to not work properly and open the widget board.

(Other)

  • This update updates the Country and Carrier Settings (COSA) resource profiles for some mobile carriers.
  • This update resolves an issue that affects the installation of Windows updates. Failure to complete it. This happens when you need to restart your device more than once.
  • This update resolves an issue that affects a device that uses Activation KB (EKB). This may prevent you from installing a new Windows update.
