Prosafe platform ready to support project offshore Western Australia

Oslo, Norway — Prosafe has a conditional letter of intent for a 15-month contract for its semi-submersible boat Safe Boreas off the coast of Western Australia.

The contract, which runs for 15 months with optional extensions, covers the provision of gangway-linked services. The estimated value is between $75 million and $100 million.

If confirmed, Safe Boreas will be recovered from the North Sea in the second quarter of 2025. Before the program begins, the platform will undergo special periodic inspections and other maintenance every five years.

Safe Boreas offers a large deck area, cranes and a passive motion-compensated gangway.
