Active power to solve the future of microgrids at the Power Analytics conference

The conference will be held at Hilton Harbor Island in San Diego.

“Development and management of microgrids and distributed energy”

In this panel session, Bernardo Mendez, Smart Grid and Renewable Energy Product Manager for Active Energy, will discuss the economics of microgrids and the impact of the rapid adoption of distributed generation in this emerging market. A skilled energy storage strategist, Mendez will bring to the panel deep experience and knowledge of how energy storage, such as flywheels, can play a key role in enabling microgrids to deliver reliable, clean energy as intermittent renewables become more widespread energy.

“Strategies for Highly Available Data Centers and Community Facilities”

WHEN:
Wednesday, October 22, 1:15 p.m.-3:00 p.m

Ron Landis, vice president of engineering for active energy, will participate on this panel to discuss energy storage and its application in mission-critical facilities that require high availability. Distributed generation and its efficiency and economic impact on this type of facilities will also be examined. An accomplished electronics and mechanical design and systems engineer, Landis has over 25 years of experience designing critical power systems for mission-critical applications, making him the ideal and thoughtful leader for this discussion.
