Punjab ministers reaffirm the role of media in creating awareness about health policies

LAHORE, Jun 1 (APP): Punjab Minister for Primary and Secondary Health Care Khawaja Imran Nazir and Minister for Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education Khawaja Salman Rafique have recognized the crucial role of media in disseminating government policies to the public.

The confirmation came during Saturday’s meeting with a delegation from the National Press Club. Khawaja Imran Nazir emphasized the collective responsibility for improving the healthcare system, stating, “We all have to play a role in improving the healthcare system.” He welcomed journalists to the Department of Health, emphasizing the media’s function as an important channel between government and citizens.

Health Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique assured the delegation of prompt action to address their concerns and accepted an invitation to visit the National Press Club in Islamabad and its camp office in Rawalpindi. He reiterated that significant efforts are being made to improve patient care under the leadership of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif.

The delegation, which included PFUJ President Afzal Butt, National Press Club Secretary Nayar Ali, National Press Club Finance Secretary Waqar Abbasi and Lahore Press Club President Arshad Ansari, discussed mutual interests and challenges faced by journalists in the field of healthcare and hospital treatment facilities. in Punjab. They presented written proposals and asked ministers to consider them.

Khawaja Salman assured the delegation of his commitment to quickly resolve these issues and highlighted ongoing efforts to facilitate treatment of patients across the province.
