Wood Mackenzie appoints Xizhou Zhou as new head of energy and renewables

The industry leader brings extensive experience and expertise

LONDON/HUSTON/SINGAPOREJune 4, 2024 – Wood Mackenzie, a Veritas Capital portfolio company, has named Xizhou Zhou vice president and chief energy and renewable energy officer, effective June 3.

Zhou joins Wood Mackenzie from S&P Global, where he leads the Global Power and Renewables division of Commodity Insights since the merger of IHS Markit and S&P Global. He previously spent 15 years at IHS Markit, IHS Energy and Cambridge Energy Research Associates in Boston, Beijing and Washington, D.C., most recently leading Global Power & Renewables and the Asia-Pacific gas, power and renewables business. He lives in Washington. He earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in environmental management from Yale University.
