Petition to repeal Michigan’s Clean Energy Location Act skips 2024 ballot

LANSING, MI – Voters won’t decide this November whether state regulators should retain their new authority over the location of new, large-scale renewable energy projects.

A ballot initiative to repeal Michigan’s new clean energy siting law did not gather enough signatures to qualify for the ballot this year. However, organizers said they intend to continue and work to qualify for the next general election in two years.
