Stock Sectors: Stock Update: Mining Stocks Fall as Market Falls

NEW DELHI: Mining stocks were trading lower at 11:10 am on Tuesday

The largest gains were recorded by Lexus Granito(India) Ltd. (an increase of 1.39%).

Ashapura Minechem Ltd. (down 14.88%), Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation Ltd. (down 11.92%), MOIL Ltd. (down 11.81%), 20 Microns Ltd. (down 11.54 %), Coal India Ltd. (down 10.00%), NMDC Ltd. (down 9.37%), KIOCL Ltd. (down 7.80%), Oriental Trimex Ltd. (down 7.70 %), Sandur Manganese & Iron Ores Ltd. (down 5.00%) and The Orissa Minerals Development Company Ltd. (down 4.98%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index fell 1,074.61 points to 22,189.3 while the 30-share BSE Sensex fell 3,459.27 points to 73,009.51 at around 11:10 am.

Hindustan Unilever Ltd. (up 2.8%), Britannia Industries Ltd. (up 0.87%), Hero MotoCorp Ltd. (up 0.87%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (up 0.19 %), Nestle India Ltd. (up 0.07%) and Divi’s Laboratories Ltd. (up 0.01%) were among the Nifty top gainers. Meanwhile, Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd. (down 15.01%), Adani Enterprises Ltd. (down 14.11%), State Bank of India (down 10.0%), Coal India Ltd. ( down 10.0%), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd. (down 10.0%), NTPC Ltd. (down 10.0%), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (down 9.81% ), IndusInd Bank Ltd. (down 9.54%), Larsen & Toubro Ltd. (down 8.62%) and Axis Bank Ltd. (down 6.91%) were trading in the red.
