The scary predictions Baba Vanga made this year and she was right as the mystic issued warnings for 2025

With 2025 just a few months away, we will soon be reflecting on the past year.

If you’re curious to get a glimpse of the future, fortune teller Baba Vanga has made some pretty crazy predictions for the new year.

Between another great war breaking out in Europe and humans fighting Martians, we are heading towards an adventure fraught with pitfalls.

The Bulgarian medium, blind from birth, reportedly predicted some pretty major world events, including 9/11, the death of Princess Diana and even her own tragic death.

The medium has made some pretty bold claims about this year – and some have already come true.

We look back at Baba Vanga’s predictions for 2024 to see which of his visions came to life.

Terrorism

Baba Vanga claimed that there would be an increase in terrorist attacks this year and, according to the Global Terrorism Index 2024 report, this appears to be the case.

The report said terrorism increased 22% this year to 8,352, the highest level since 2017.

Natural disasters

The mystic predicted even more terrifying weather events – and this certainly turned out to be the case. In the past few weeks alone, Hurricanes Helene and Milton have devastated parts of the United States, with the latter prompting scientists to consider creating a new, more powerful category of storms.

Elsewhere in the world, Jamaica was hit by Storm Beryl, Pakistan faced deadly floods and wildfires raged in parts of the United States and Canada.

Recessions

Baba Vanga warned of an economic crisis in his forecast for 2024. Indeed, the United Kingdom and Japan found themselves facing financial difficulties this year.

The UK slipped into recession towards the end of last year, while the Office for National Statistics (ONS) said in February that gross domestic product (GDP) had fallen by 0.3 per cent more than expected in the three months to December in the UK.

The country managed to emerge from recession in May, with its strongest economic growth since late 2021. I guess Baba Vanga didn’t say how long the recession would last.

Earlier this year, Japan fell one place to fourth in the world due to economic challenges.

Health care

There was a few hope among the pessimism predicted by Baba Vanga. The medium believed that humanity would chain cancer “with iron chains”.

Baba Vanga herself died of breast cancer at the age of 84 in 1996.

A number of breakthroughs in cancer treatment have been made this year, including a lung cancer vaccine, LungVax, in the works.

Scientists from the University of Oxford, the Francis Crick Institute and University College London (UCL) have been awarded £1.7 million ($2,139,225) from the Cancer Research UK and the CRIS Cancer Foundation to finance 3,000 vaccines.

A revolutionary treatment for brain cancer could also be available in the UK within five years. the drug ipilimumab – has been shown to be particularly effective for patients who have not responded to conventional therapies.

Dr Paul Mulholland, a pioneer of this treatment at University College London, found that the drug ipilimumab was effective for patients who had not responded to conventional therapies.

What didn’t happen?

With only two and a half months left in the year, a handful of Baba Vanga’s predictions have not come true. These include the assassination – or attempted assassination – of Vladimir Putin.

Another dire prediction was about a “major country” testing or deploying biological weapons. Let’s hope she’s wrong about that.
