Premiere of the Fitbit Ace LTE smartwatch for children. Price, specifications, more

Google has just introduced Fitbit Ace LTE, a new smartwatch tailored to children’s needs. Unlike previous Ace models, which were simplified versions of Fitbit fitness bands, the Ace LTE runs on WearOS. In addition to standard fitness tracking features, the new Fitbit Ace LTE smartwatch offers features such as calling, messaging and location sharing with parents.

Fitbit Ace LTE also comes pre-installed with interactive 3D games, which Google says encourages physical activity, and by being more active, kids can gain more time to play.

Fitbit Ace LTE includes a bumper and is water resistant to 50 meters. Its screen is protected by Gorilla Glass 3, and the watch’s battery life on a single charge is approximately 16 hours.

It is currently available for pre-order for $229.95, and will go on sale in the US on June 5.

Fitbit Ace LTE focuses on privacy by displaying data about the child’s location and activity only to parents. Location information is deleted after 24 hours, while activity data is retained for up to 35 days. The smartwatch does not display advertisements or third-party applications, and only contacts added by parents can communicate with the device.

Parents can also control settings such as “School Time” to minimize distractions. You can set up the “Tap to Pay” feature so that your kids can make purchases conveniently. Fitbit emphasizes that parents do not need to buy a new SIM card or pay for activation because network connectivity is already integrated with Fitbit Ace Pass.

Additionally, Fitbit Ace LTE includes six collectible bands, each of which unlocks different items, styles, rooms and noodles when first connected to the watch. These teams can be purchased separately, and new ones will be released periodically.

Fitbit Ace LTE introduces “eejies”, personalized creatures that unfold during everyday activities. When children achieve their exercise goals, their eejie becomes healthier and happier. By completing daily activities and completing games, children earn tickets to arcades, which allow them to customize their eejie’s appearance with new outfits or upgrade its habitat.
